Are 3D Gel and 4D number plates road legal in the UK?

Yes. Under British Standard BS AU 145e, in force since September 2021, 3D Gel and 4D plates made by a registered supplier are road legal, provided the font, spacing and margins follow the standard.

What documents do I need to order road-legal plates?

As a DVLA registered number plate supplier (RNPS) we must verify entitlement to the registration, for example a V5C logbook, and your identity, such as a driving licence or passport.
